Tasting Supervisor Kevin Davy introduces the Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Roussanne Vieilles Vignes 2023 as his Wine Crush from this week’s tastings. This 100% roussanne is harvested from outdated vines in a small plot of seven hectares and is a really gastronomic wine that leaves you craving for extra. It’s medium- to full-bodied with an oily texture, and is apparent, spherical, suave and harmonious. Kevin thinks it’s among the finest white wines in France – and, the truth is, the world.
